The Forged Legion was created in the aftermath of the fleet’s stranding in the Helios System. With their original military hierarchy shattered and their mission to reclaim Epsilon Eridani rendered meaningless, the surviving officers and soldiers reorganized into a new force—not to fight for a lost home, but to defend what remained of humanity.
From the beginning, their role was clear:
- Defend StarForged from external threats.
- Maintain order within the station.
- Secure resources needed for survival.
- Expand and explore, ensuring humanity’s foothold in the Circinus Galaxy.
Their first battles were not against aliens but against their own kind; the Corsair Brotherhood. When the pirates attempted to seize supplies and ships for themselves, the Forged Legion was forced into action, engaging in bitter skirmishes both aboard StarForged and in space.

Over time, as StarForged encountered new civilizations such as the Xel’tari, Kreshin, and Nyrathi, the Forged Legion evolved into more than just a security force. They became a true military power, adapting their tactics, technology, and weaponry to counter alien threats and piracy alike.

The Forged Legion operates as a hierarchical military order, blending traditional naval and ground-based warfare doctrines. Their leadership consists of seasoned veterans from the original fleet, along with new officers who have proven their worth through years of combat and service.
Ranks and Divisions
🔹 Legion High Command – The top-ranking officers, responsible for overseeing all military operations. The highest rank is the Legion Commander, who answers directly to the Starborn Council but wields near-autonomous authority in military matters.
🔹 Voidborn Fleet – The naval arm of the Forged Legion, consisting of retrofitted warships, patrol vessels, and StarForged’s defense platforms. They are responsible for securing trade routes, hunting Corsair warbands, and engaging in space combat.
🔹 Legionary Corps – The ground forces, trained for both shipboarding actions and planetary warfare. They use advanced combat armor, energy-based weaponry, and mechanized support units to hold key locations and storm enemy positions.
🔹 Sentinel Division – The elite shock troops of the Legion. Used for high-risk operations, counterinsurgency, and leading assaults against major threats. Many Sentinels are cybernetically enhanced and wield experimental weaponry.
🔹 Blackguard Operatives – The covert intelligence and assassination branch. While officially under the jurisdiction of the Starborn Council, they often act as the Legion’s hidden blade, eliminating threats before they can strike.

✔ Fortress Doctrine – StarForged itself is an unbreakable bastion, armed to the teeth with point-defense turrets, kinetic barriers, and long-range railguns. Any attempt to siege it would be suicidal.
✔ Mobile Strike Forces – While StarForged remains stationary, the Legion deploys small, fast-moving warships to hunt down threats and strike before enemies can organize.
✔ Boarding Specialists – The Legion excels at shipboarding operations, breaching enemy vessels and neutralizing threats from within.

Notable Conflicts
🔸 The Corsair Schism – The first battle waged by the Forged Legion, when the Corsair Brotherhood attempted to seize control of StarForged’s supply depots. The result: a bloody purge of pirate loyalists, forcing the Corsairs into exile.
🔸 Battle of the Wraith’s Gauntlet – A devastating ambush against a Corsair stronghold, where the Legion deployed experimental gravimetric mines to collapse part of an asteroid field, trapping enemy ships inside.
